LS Pro Engines is proud to import Tomy Shens MT line on engines.
Tomy has four engines that we import now, the MT42, MT50, MT57, MT62. The MT42 and MT62 have beauifully cast crankcases, the MT50 and MT57 a CNC'ed crankcases. Each engine has it's own character so let's look at each one separately.
If you have a 76 to 82 inch wingspan plane this little brother of the MT-50 may just be the engine you're looking for. The MT-42 is the latest addition to the expanding line of MT engines that I'm importing. We have a couple of these in stock now, and will be running test on one soon, test ran with Xoar 20x8 and I got 6900 out of the box. With EI you have no need for starters, these are easily hand flipped for starting.
Engine comes with EI, muffler and standoffs.

MT42
MT50
The cranckcase is beatifully CNC'ed from bar stock, it's the lightest 50cc on the market 3lbs. 4oz. Makes very good power, idles very slowly, 1100 rpm out of the box. Expect 7000 rpm with a 20x10. They are not a copy of any other engine and they are made with the finest materials, and built with QC in mind.

We did our own test and got these numbers:
First I'm at about 50'above sea level, it was about 60*F.
Prop, Idle rpm, Highspeed rpm, Thrust=pounds oz
I put a 22A on it, and a 11 inch header, then ran it I got 7500rpm. I then put 3 pipes on it and got 7560, 7530, 7500rpm. Clearly I don't know how to set up a pipe, I put a Toro lawn mower muffle, $5.00 at Lowes, on it to see what I got, 7020rpm and good muffling. Then I put a canister on it 7200rpm, nice sound, and a lower idle. The noise at 7500rpm is physical, and I think most of it was prop noise.
23A Vess with the KS4 076 60 muffled pipe I got 7400rpm and 33 pounds 12 ounces of thrust, with the MTW TD 75 k canister I got 7200rpm 31 pound 6 ounces of thrust. It was loud, but not physical like the 22As sound.
23B With the same pipe I got 6700rpm with 31 pounds of thrust, much quieter, the canister gave me 30 pounds of thrust at 6650, sounded nice and mellow.
This is a very smooth running engine we're really happy with this one Tomy Shen outdid himself on this motor.
Price $430
MT62
This motor is nicley cast, both the crankcase and the cylinder. The parts of this engine interchange with the parts of a G-62 perfectly. This is probably the most bang for your buck, not quite as powerful as the MT57, but close and it's $50 cheaper. I did rpm test and I get 7000 rpm using a Vess 22A prop.
Price $390
All engines come with EI, muffler and standoffs.
